"What to look out for, and what to avoid...
A top tip: buy at a specialist uke dealer. Lots of music shops have a few ukes, but the extra information and guidance a specialist can supply is priceless. They'll have a wider range of instruments to choose from, too, and there's no reason to worry that you'd be paying more for your instrument than if you bought in a general music store or online. It's a win-win."

We agree! Why waste your time at a store that doesn't know anything about the instrument, or buy sight unseen from online? Support your local store, so local stores might continue to exist.--Pat
